Last night, when presenting our project went a lot better than I thought it would be. It was actually really fun to show everyone our hard work and there was a great turnout. One thing that I wished happened was that I could have a chance to view second period's projects. Although the first couple of trials were slightly rough, towards the end our machine flowed properly and our presentation seemed smoother. I noticed a lot of seventh and eighth graders watching and I think these presentation nights are a great way to get more people excited and aware of the STEM program.
Tomorrow night is the presentation of our Rube Goldberg machines! Hopefully everyone's works properly throughout the evening. After several weeks and spending over twenty hours on this project, I am really excited to show others what we learned and how we applied that. I'm also curious to see how other groups finished their project because I have not seen any of the projects in the other class and only some of the others in my period of STEM. The way of learning through a project was something I enjoyed a lot and am glad to be a part of this program.
